The WISE task team has just concluded their work of more than two years to design a new strategic framework, which will ensure a more robust, profitable and globally competitive South African Wine industry (www.winesouthafrica.info). Various game changers were identified and developed such as the local market, research, innovation, wine tourism, global markets and transformation. Whilst these new game changers and other tools can ensure a material shift in the industry’s success, the challenge will always be in cooperation.
