The wine industry body Vinpro invites all wine grape producers, cellars and wine-related business owners to join them at the Nampo Cape agricultural expo from 4 to 6 September 2019 at Bredasdorp Park in the Overberg.
More than 16 000 visitors attended the first Nampo Cape, which is presented by Grain SA, last year. Through its 480 exhibitors, a boereplan competition, demonstrations and programmes, the expo provides an exceptional networking opportunity for the agricultural sector to exchange farming tips, new ideas and improved farming methods.
Vinpro will be participating in the expo for the first time this year, which includes a show stand and participation in a Nation in Conversation panel discussion that focuses specifically on the wine industry.
Visitors can stop by at Vinpro’s stand (182 in the BKB hall) to hear more about the Vinpro Group’s services and products. Chat to a Vinpro viticulturist or GIS specialist about vineyard solutions, gain live access to the new Wine Tourism Toolkit, see how cellars can manage their data through the WineMS software and receive information on Vititec’s high quality plant material. Brush up on your wine knowledge by paging through WineLand magazines or get a copy of the SA Wine Industry Directory.
The Nation in Conversation panel discussion on the wine industry will take place on 6 September from 10:30 to 12:00 at the Santam auditorium for selected guests, but will be aired on KykNET at a later stage. “The panel discussion with the theme Talking Wine Business, will be presented by Theo Vorster and focus on the challenges, opportunities and innovation in the South African wine industry. We will also focus specifically on the Southern Cape region,” says Vinpro MD Rico Basson.
According to Vinpro chairman Anton Smuts it is important for Vinpro to participate in Nampo Cape as a broad-based networking opportunity. “Vinpro works with other agricultural entities to address issues that could add value to the wine industry and broader agricultural sector to ensure a stronger, more sustainable future.”
Tickets are available from Ticketpro at R60 online or R70 at the gates. The entry fee for school children is R20 both online and at the gates. Nampo Cape will be open daily from 08:00 to 17:00.
