Nominate candidates for 1659 Visionary Leadership Award

by | Jul 26, 2021 | Article

In 1974, the Board of Directors of the Groot Constantia Trust established the annual Wine Harvest Commemorative Event to honour and recognise wine’s contribution to the Western Cape’s economic sector.

Now in its 48th year, this non-profit company continues to spearhead the event on 2 February, which marks the official birthdate of South African wine, and serves as a ceremonial blessing of the new harvest.

Groot Constantia plays host to this glitzy affair, attended by the who’s who of SA wine. The evening reaches pinnacle when the prestigious 1659 Visionary Leadership Awards are bestowed upon the trailblazers of our industry.

We’re calling on the industry to nominate candidates to be considered for these esteemed awards.

Transparency throughout the selection process is ensured by a thorough and stringent deliberation process by the Groot Constantia Board of Directors. Nominations will be accepted online at nominations@sawineharvest.co.za
