Orange River Cellars best performer at Muscadel awards

The 15th Muscadel SA awards, sponsored by Enartis SA, saw Orange River Cellars from the Northern Cape walk away with two platinum awards for a third year in a row. Their White Muscadel and ORC Red Muscadel, both 2016 vintage, won platinum awards (considered the highest honour at this event).

Du Toitskloof Cellar is also well-known for their fortified wine and their Du Toitskloof Red Muscadel 2014 won a platinum awards for the second year in a row. Alvi’s Drift Wines from Worcester won platinum for their Alvi’s Drift Premium 2014.

The tasting was done blind and was performed by Dave Biggs, Hans Lösch, Cerina van Niekerk, Raymond Noppé and Nina Mari Bruwer.
