  • Jaqueline Lahoud and Christiaan Eedes of @winemag.co.za presenting their brand new look along with the top red blends of the Cape Bordeaux Red Blend Report. It's a close call between 2015 and 2017 vintages. Congratulations to @ginnypovall with Botanica Arboretum 2017 achieving best overall score of 94.

Roland Peens says two things make up price: 1. Critic score; 2. Quality, which requires new investment with an eye on the long term.

  • Kibali, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Mourvedre, and Grenache, is named after the Kibali Gold Mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The idea behind this wine was to honour the successful commissioning of the mine which was within budget and ahead of schedule. The original celebratory bottle was sold privately for R22 000 of which the proceeds were given to the Nos Vies en Partage Foundation, known for its humanitarian work on the African continent. It was the success of this that inspired @windfallwine to launch this wine as an official addition to its range of wines.

Thank you @windfallwine, @mancrave_sa, @nomuchirps for sending us this beautiful package.
