Rotocon is looking for a certified field service technican

The certified field service technician will be responsible for installation, repair, and service of equipment supplied by Rotocon within the assigned region and designated accounts. This person will travel to sites as needed to perform maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair issues at industrial facilities. This person must have an engineering mind with a very hands-on approach and a great customer and principal interface. The work will require travel, sometimes on short notice, and may require extended trips. A get-it-done mentality is expected of all Rotocon’s field service technicians.
Responsibilities and duties
• Install, commission, service, and troubleshoot Rotocon control and propulsion installations at customer site locations
• Travel to national and international destinations on a very short notice to troubleshoot existing installation
• Troubleshoot at site locations and determine suitable resolutions and implement corrective actions
• Provide training and instruction to customers on product operations
• Perform engineering tasks as directed to facilitate proper service, technical integrity, installation, and commissioning
• Provide continuous support in response to customer service calls
• Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
• Perform other duties assigned by management to meet business needs
• Interact and communicate with internal customers such as production personnel, engineers, and management
• Coordinate closely with Rotocon sales and operations
Qualifications and Skills
• Detailed knowledge of instrumentation and control systems for sensors, electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Knowledge of computer and PLC systems
• Must be decisive regarding completion of tasks and job methods
• Prioritise workload and shift work activities to meet business needs, department goals, and customer satisfaction
• Follow oral and written instructions and give strong attention to detail
• Capable of working unsupervised
• Willing to learn about new and innovative technologies
• Establish and maintain positive, cooperative, working relationships
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential
