Destination Spice Route offers a variety of visual and tasty treats.
Spice Route emerged victorious at the fifth annual Lilizela Tourism Awards (Mayoral Tourism Awards), held in Wellington. Destination Spice Route clinched the Tourism Business of the Year Award.
This annual event, also known as the Cape Winelands District Municipality (CWDM) Tourism Awards, encourages tourism development by recognising and celebrating select regions’ businesses, individuals and products for performance excellence in hospitality. Drakenstein, Stellenbosch, Witzenberg, Breede Valley and Langeberg was the focus of the latest event.
“We’re honoured and sincerely grateful to receive the award”, says Spice Route co-owner, Abigail Bisogno. Bisogno and her brother, Charles Back (recently titled most awarded winemaker in South Africa), are dedicated to making Paarl a world class tourist destination.
