At this event last week, more than 500 of our best wines and a record number of participating wineries strutted their stuff.
The categories, of which no single category dominated the highest scoring wines, were white wines (28 Top 100 wines), white wines (54 winning wines), rosé (only one winning wine), MCC and sparkling wines (5 wines performed excellently), fortified wines (seven winners), natural sweet wines (three wines received the honours in this class), port style (only two wines featured), vintage 2015 (40 wines won in this category) and older vintages dating as far back as 2005.
