Winetech, in collaboration with researchers of the ARC-Nietvoorbij and the University of Stellenbosch, will be hosting a function on 27 July at which time feedback will be given concerning viticultural research projects funded by Winetech.

All interested parties – producers, winemakers, consultants and representatives of companies – are welcome to come and share in the latest research results.

THE SOUTH AFRICAN WINE INDUSTRY (WINETECH) OFFERS POSTGRADUATE STUDY OPPORTUNITIES ABROAD

The Vine and Wine Industry (Winetech) awaits enquiries from prospective candidates for doctoral studies (field of specialisation: Viticulture) at the Universities of Adelaide (Australia) and Davis (California) respectively, from the year 2000.

Requirements: An MScAgric degree (field of specialisation Viticulture or Horticulture) or MSc degree (Botany with specialisation in plant physiology, especially with regard to Growth and Development). An MScAgric degree or MSc degree in a related field in which the vine or products thereof (grape bunches) figured as research material, will also comply with the requirements.
