Wanda Augustyn

Wanda has spent most of her professional life asking questions and uncovering stories in the South African wine industry, despite not having drunk a glass of wine until she started working at KWV.

She completed a Communications degree at the University of the Free State, followed by an Honours degree in Journalism and Public Relations. Her career has since spanned journalism, editing, brand and communications, and today she leads WineLand’s editorial direction. She is usually already thinking about the next story while everyone else is still finishing the current one.

She loves ideas, people and words that sound like people actually speak. Away from WineLand, she is a mother of two boys, an avid reader, a lover of fashion, decorating, music, and animals. She is happiest somewhere in the Boland mountains with her two Italian Greyhounds. Preferably followed by a very dry glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
