Wine Tourism South Africa, a leading integrated media and advisory company, and owner of the SA Wine Tourism Conference, announced today its partnership with Air France-KLM as the official airline partner for the 2027 conference taking place at Cavalli Estate, Stellenbosch on 18 and 19 May 2027.
The partnership highlights the important role of Cape Town as the gateway to the Cape Winelands, connecting visitors from Europe, the United States and beyond with one of the world's leading wine tourism destinations.
Through their major hubs in Paris and Amsterdam, Air France-KLM provides travellers with convenient connections to Cape Town and onward access to the Winelands – from Stellenbosch and Franschhoek to Paarl, Constantia and beyond.
The partnership also builds on a long-standing connection between Europe and Cape Town, with Air France celebrating 15 years of service on the route this year.
In their own words
“As we continue to expand the scope, value and impact of the annual SA Wine Tourism Conference, we’re increasingly nurturing partnerships with the most relevant and influential brands in the tourism sector, where there is meaningful alignment to our audience. We’re delighted to welcome one of the largest airline groups in the world as our official partner, bringing with it a number of benefits and opportunities to conference delegates and the wine tourism sector at large, along with an enhanced European and global footprint, connecting the experiences on offer in the Cape Winelands with the international travellers we want to welcome.”

“Cape Town has long been an important destination in our network. Through our hubs in Paris and Amsterdam, we connect visitors from across Europe and the world with the remarkable experiences South Africa has to offer, while also enabling South Africans to explore wine regions and wine tourism experiences across Europe. Wine tourism is a two-way opportunity, connecting destinations, cultures and wine lovers across borders. We’re delighted to partner with the SA Wine Tourism Conference to help showcase the Cape Winelands to a wider international audience, while supporting the continued growth of this exciting sector and strengthening connections between South Africa and Europe.”
A strategic investment
The partnership comes as wine tourism continues to evolve, with travellers increasingly seeking immersive experiences that extend beyond traditional wine tasting.
WTC2027 will bring together wine, tourism, hospitality and destination leaders to explore how wineries can design exceptional experiences, build demand and grow their global appeal.
Tickets to the 2027 SA Wine Tourism Conference are now on sale and exclusive Air France KLM delegate benefits will be announced during November and December 2026.
