Stellenbosch Pinotage and Chenin Blanc specialist, L’Avenir joins the Folio Fine Wine Partners portfolio effective immediately. This new addition expand the national USA importer’s relationship with more than 18 family-owned suppliers and marks the Company’s first foray into the key category of Stellenbosch.

L’Avenir is part of the AdVini Group – The global leader for Terroir wines, and a family-owned company founded in 1870 by the Jeanjean family. Folio Co-Founder and Coach, Michael Mondavi is excited for the growth opportunities that the new portfolio addition will bring, stating:
“Our philosophy at Folio has always been to find family-owned brands that are leading producers in the fine wine-growing regions of the world. L’Avenir perfectly fits our portfolio and is led by people we like and respect. We are proud to serve their wines on the table for our family and friends.
Mondavi continued:
“I’ve had the luxury of working with Brigitte Jeanjean of AdVini since the late 1980s when we were making wine for the Vichon brand at Robert Mondavi. We had a terrific relationship back then as winemakers, and it’s a pleasure to do business with the family and their leadership again.”
L’Avenir is a leading boutique winery L’Avenir from Stellenbosch, South Africa, and produces emblematic South African varietals, Pinotage and Chenin Blanc, with a touch of French flair.
Mondavi is excited about the opportunity that the South Africa category presents:
“For the adventurous wine consumer, “South Africa is much like Portugal, where the wine quality to value ratio is undeniable. It is ranked as a Top 10 producing wine country*, with Chenin Blanc as a variety performing very well. We are excited to bring L’Avenir Premium wines to new consumers and those looking for adventure in their wine buying choices.”
L’Avenir Estate is in the center of Stellenbosch wine appellation, with history dating back to the late 1600s when the property was one of the very first sites identified for grape growing by the Cape’s earliest European settlers. The Estate was renamed L’Avenir in 1992 and quickly gained recognition for its distinctive Pinotage and Chenin Blanc Single Block premium wines.
