The 2017 Chardonnay du Monde competition saw four gold medals bestowed upon South African wines. These medals went to the Bon Courage Estate Unwooded Chardonnay 2016, Overhex Swartland Survivor Wild Yeast Chardonnay 2016, DGB Douglas Green Chardonnay 2016 and Weltevrede Wine Estate Place of Rocks Chardonnay 2016. This year’s event took place at Château des Ravatys wine estate in Burgundy, which is the traditional home of Chardonnay.
