SA Chardonnay stands tall

Once again South African Chardonnay stood out at international level – this time it was at the 24th international Chardonnay du Monde competition. Overhex Wines International’s newly introduced Survivor Wild Yeast Chardonnay 2016 has been chosen as one of the best Chardonnays at this competition. Only 4 gold medals and 4 silver medals were awarded to wines from South Africa. The gold medal winners were Overhex Wines International, Bon Courage Wine Estate, DGB and Weltevrede Wine Estate. The silver medal winners were DGB, Simonsig Wine Estate, Tokara and La Motte.
