The sponsorship aims to attract the bank’s audience to South Africa’s finest wine festival, bringing together the most ambitious people to experience the finest of the Cape’s wine culture.
This year, we are thrilled to introduce the show to one of the original wine and tourist hubs, the Lowveld. Situated in Mpumalanga, in the north-eastern corner of South Africa, the Standard Bank WineX Mpumalanga wine show will be hosted at the gateway to the Kruger National Park and close to Maputo in neighbouring Mozambique.
With Standard Bank Private now sponsoring, renowned wine commentator Michael Fridjhon and his WineX team will ensure wine lovers enjoy a two-night spectacle this winter.
The show will take place at Emnotweni on Thursday and Friday, 1 and 2 August.
Wine enthusiasts from Nelspruit, White River, and the Lowveld are invited to discover new delights and revisit timeless classics at this cherished event.
Around 40 exhibitors will present an impressive line-up of nearly 200 wines, including vibrant bubblies, crisp whites, bold reds, and delightful desserts, complemented by select ‘foodies’ presenting wine-enhancing delicacies.
Experience the rich reds of Vilafonté, Rust en Vrede, Quoin Rock and Glen Carlou, the refreshing whites of Strandveld Vineyards, Cederberg and Ken Forrester, and the effervescent offerings from Haute Cabrière and Simonsig Wine Estate.
Light meals will be available for purchase, and the Shop@Show facility provides an enticing opportunity to buy wines at show prices, with the added convenience of delivery to your doorstep.
Standard Bank Private will host an exclusive opening night for clients on Thursday, 1 August. The event will be open to the public, media and trade on Friday, 2 August.
