KWV is delighted to announce that Justin Corrans has been appointed as KWV chief winemaker effective 1 June 2020.
He joins KWV from Mountain Ridge Wines where he led the winemaking team for three years, adding to his experience at Distell and Longridge Winery.
Justin hails from the rural Eastern Cape. His grandfather’s tales of growing-up in the winelands of Stellenbosch left a marked impression on Justin, so much so that after school he headed to the town of oaks to study at the University of Stellenbosch.
Justin holds an Honours degree in Wine Biotechnology bolstered by more than two decades worth of experience, including winemaking consultancy in France, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
In his new role, Justin will direct and oversee all winemaking operations, upholding KWV’s reputation for producing wines of exceptional quality.
